About Us

Fantails Childcare is privately owned and very much a family business. Johanna Kiers is the Licensee and her husband, Jan (pronounced 'Yan'), the Managing Director. Both are involved in the operation of the centres and can often be seen at the centres helping out.

They purchased Fantails Country in 2010 after falling in love with its expansive outdoor space and location. In 2013 they opened Fantails Silverdale to meet demand in the area. Nikki Summerville as Group Manager not only lead the Fantails Estate team but is also responsibile for the leadership for all the Fantails centres.  

Fantails Country is run under the management of Hailey Nasmith and Fantails SIlverdale is headed by Gladys Marais, each supported by their very capable team of teachers.
